Stitch or Ditch - there's nothing like a good deadline hanging over you

Friends,

With my existing clothing falling apart, a to-do list as long as the A1 and an impending house move, I've decided to act decisively.

The unfinished projects will be done!

The scraps pile will be reduced!

The Hated Projects (namely the infinity dress...) will be cut up and remade!

The old clothing will be copied or chucked out!

Frankly, it's a bit overwhelming. No fun or frivolous or complicated projects for a while. Just cutting quilt scraps and desperately salvaging garments. You can tell I'm not totally enthusiastic about this, dear reader. Any moral support will be much appreciated.

Not sure I can handle this...

  1. Sure you can! You just need to be organized about what you want to do. I am preaching to the choir now, I still have TWO unfinished things that I cut back in October :)

But I'm confident it can be done

  2. Can you operate any kind of reward system for yourself, for each time you finish a UFO or make a wall chart of things that you can tick off as you do them?

    1. Oh Bea, I am the Queen of Lists, believe me they are getting ticked off. I'm using the time to cstch up on podcasts, which could be a bit of a reward :)

  3. You can do it! Making space also makes room for new things & energy to come your way. Take care.

  4. Moral support being beamed back at you! from a distance! You need it love!
Right mega tip... any fabric you do not ABSOLUTELY love, to die for... ditch it! you will NOT enjoy the making, you will NOT be happy with the result, and you will NOT wear it either... so save the heartache, and send to a worthy cause- try a fugly fabric swap, or a charity shop! Be cheeky, ask them for a voucher to swap far a reduction on other fabric they may have??...

    Good luck dear!

    1. Thank you! I ended up cutting quilt squares, you would be SO proud of the height of the stack that's waiting to be sewn.

Sneaky problem though, I do also guard/curate B's stash...
